Terms of Use
These terms describe how you may use TarotWise. They are intentionally short and plain, because the site itself is simple: a free tarot reference and reading tool with no accounts and no payments.
Acceptance and scope
By using TarotWise you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. The terms apply to everything TarotWise offers, including the card meaning dictionary, the free readings, the daily card, the combination pages, and the guides, in all three languages the site is published in. Because TarotWise has no accounts, there is nothing to sign and no personal agreement to manage; simply visiting and using the site is what these terms cover. We have tried to keep the language friendly and free of legal jargon wherever possible, so that you can actually read it.
Free personal use
TarotWise is completely free for personal use. You may read the card meanings, run as many readings as you like, keep a local journal, and share readings with friends using the built-in share links. You do not need permission to quote short passages with attribution, for example in a blog post or a social media discussion. What we ask you not to do is republish large portions of the dictionary or guides as your own work, scrape the site to build a competing product, or use automated tools in a way that disrupts the site for other visitors.
Content and ownership
The text on TarotWise, including card meanings, combination interpretations, spread guides, and learning articles, is original work written for this site and is protected by copyright. The card images are a different story: they are scans of the 1909 Rider-Waite-Smith deck, which is in the public domain, and you are free to use those images however you wish. When a reading is generated, the interpretation you see is assembled from our dictionary text based on which cards were drawn, so the same authorship applies to it. If you would like to license our text for another project, please get in touch first.
No guarantees and limitation of liability
TarotWise is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. Tarot readings on this site are generated by combining random card draws with a reference dictionary, and we make no promise that any reading will be accurate, meaningful, or predictive. Decisions you make remain entirely your own responsibility, and readings are never a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice. To the extent permitted by law, TarotWise and its creators are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, from reliance on any reading, or from temporary unavailability of the service.
Changes to the service and these terms
TarotWise may change at any time without notice. We may add or remove reading formats, rewrite card meanings, publish or unpublish combination pages, adjust translations, or redesign parts of the site. We may also update these terms; when we do, the date at the top of this page will change. Because there are no accounts, we have no way to email you about updates, so we encourage you to glance at this page occasionally if the details matter to you. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms as they are published here.
